UNIQLO F.RISSO is back with a second collaboration for 2026, this time arriving as a knitwear capsule collection set to hit stores on 30 October 2026. Following the Summer 2026 capsule line, the collection pairs Italian designer Francesco Risso’s playful and expressive design sensibility with modern silhouettes and bold color blocking, all made possible through UNIQLO’s 3D knit technique.

The collection draws on vintage knitwear aesthetics to deliver genderless styles that celebrate individuality – signature two-tone color blocking runs across the lineup, which includes turtleneck, mock neck, and polo sweaters crafted from an ultra-fine merino wool blend that is lightweight and warm. Voluminous V-neck and boat neck silhouettes are also part of the range, giving the collection a distinctly sculptural feel. HEATTECH socks and beanies round out the accessories portion of the lineup.

The 3D knit technique constructs each garment as a single continuous piece, resulting in a smooth construction and refined silhouette. Risso described the collection’s central tension as the contrast between machine precision and the intimacy of handcraft. He noted his intent to use the most advanced production methods to recapture the texture and imperfection that once came only from human hands, without slipping into nostalgia or imitation.

Francesco Risso is an Italian-born designer who studied fashion in Florence, New York, and London. He spent a decade at Prada before serving as Creative Director at Marni from 2016 to 2025, where he shaped a boldly original vision informed by music, art, and cultural exploration. He is currently Creative Director at GU and has held guest lecturer positions at leading art and design schools worldwide.

The UNIQLO F.RISSO 2026 Knitwear Capsule Collection launches on 30 October 2026 (Friday). The full lineup of seven items, comprising five menswear pieces and two accessories, will be available at UNIQLO stores in Fahrenheit 88, Mid Valley Megamall, The Exchange TRX, and One Utama, as well as through the UNIQLO Malaysia online store.

Pokdepinion: Sweaters that cost more because they are “seamless” and “sculptural” are still just sweaters, but sure, why not.
