Apple has confirmed that it will hold a product launch event on October 28th 2026 in Los Angeles. The event, called “Pro and Tell,” is expected to introduce the company’s first touchscreen MacBook. Alongside this, Apple will reportedly unveil a new low-end MacBook Pro powered by the M6 chip, a refreshed iMac, and a redesigned iPad mini with a sharper display.
Touchscreen MacBook Specifications

The new touchscreen MacBooks are expected to feature a Dynamic Island interface (similar to the iPhone) and OLED displays for sharper visuals. They will run on M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, aligning with the current MacBook Pro models released in March. This marks a shift for Apple, which previously stated it would not merge iPad and Mac experiences.
Expected Availability
Apple retail stores are preparing to begin selling the new products on November 6th. The launch follows recent introductions of HomeView, HomePod mini 2, and an updated Apple TV set-top box. Apple’s first foldable iPhone, the iPhone Duo, is scheduled to go on sale on October 23rd. Pricing details for the new MacBooks and other devices have not yet been disclosed.
Pokdepinion: A touchscreen MacBook feels overdue at this point. I kind of still want an iPad Pro but no complaints if it’s a Macbook really.
