Microsoft has absolutely nailed it this year! The new Microsoft Surface Book was unveiled with impressive specifications, and also an innovative design. The Microsoft Surface Book is the first laptop by Microsoft and is the ultimate Windows-based laptop, to me, at least.

The Surface Book is aimed to be in direct competition with the MacBook Pro lineup, it seems. The hybrid laptop is comes with 13.5-inch 267 ppi display, accelerated by an unspecified NVIDIA GTX graphic card with GDDR5 memory, so at least we know it won’t be a GT 940M or lower. It also features two USB 3.0 port and a full-size SD card slot.

Along with a precision glass trackpad which supports 5-point multi-touch, the Surface Book comes with a real keyboard! Yes, a real keyboard, not like the touch cover you can get for the Surface Pro 3.

The Surface Book will come in two variants, a choice of either an Intel Core i5 or Intel Core i7, both part of the 6th generation Intel Core “Skylake” line up. Microsoft claims battery life of up to 12 hours and in a direct shot, Microsoft boldly said that the Surface Book is twice as fast as the current MacBook Pro.

Great processing power is nothing without sufficient RAM and storage, and the Surface Book provides up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB storage options, which should satisfy most if not all mobile users.

I don’t know how to put what I feel in words after watching the official promotional video, so I leave you the link so you can understand what I felt when I watched the video.

The Surface Book will be available for pre-order starting from the 7th of October with a starting price of USD 1499 (RM6475.68).

Pokdepinion : I love what I have seen about the Microsoft Surface Book. This year Microsoft has shown us what is the true definition of innovation, and gave us something that is actually worthy of being called the “most powerful laptop in its class”. Your move, Apple.
