This announcement follows XPeng’s plans to introduce right-hand drive (RHD) models, including those tailored for Malaysia, later this year. Founded in 2014, XPeng boasts a global presence, with facilities in the U.S., Munich, Hong Kong, and Amsterdam.

Notably, Volkswagen invested USD700 million in XPeng, reflecting the company’s growing influence in the EV market. Their lineup includes the X9 7-seater MPV, featuring impressive specs such as dual electric motors, a range of 702km, and fast charging capabilities. The P7 sedan, designed to rival Tesla Model 3, offers high-performance variants with rapid acceleration.
