Lenovo Updates Its Expansive Yoga & IdeaPad Laptop Lineup
Along with its gaming laptop lineup, Lenovo is also bringing new updates to its consumer laptops, including the Yoga and IdeaPad series.
Starting with the Yoga lineup, the Yoga Pro 9i and Yoga 9i 2-in-1 lead the pack – with the latter coming bundled with a Lenovo Smart Pen and Sleeve. Both models are certified with MIL-STD-810H standards, which means they should handle some dings and dents when the worst happens; inside the chassis, you get the Intel Core Ultra chips, accompanied by a dedicated Lenovo AI Core co-processor designed to handle AI-assisted features, such as dynamic power allocation.
They both come equipped with a 5MP IR camera which now supports auto-framing, among other AI-assisted features, through the laptop’s onboard AI processing capabilities; as for the difference between the two laptops – the Yoga Pro 9i can pack up to an NVIDIA RTX 4070 GPU with a 16-inch 3.2K MiniLED display, whereas the Yoga 9i 2-in-1 comes with a 2.8K OLED panel with an optional upgrade to 4K OLED.
The Yoga family also includes four other models: the Yoga Book 9i, Yoga Slim 7i, Yoga Pro 7/7i, and Yoga 7i 2-in-1. Starting with the Yoga Book 9i, the dual-screen OLED laptop now comes updated with Intel Core Ultra chips; the Yoga Slim 7i also gets the same processor upgrade, as well as Intel Evo Edition certification; meanwhile, the Yoga Pro 7/7i – the ‘i’ denotes the Intel Core Ultra model, while the other is powered by up to AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS processor – can be configured with NVIDIA RTX 4050, with the 3K OLED panel option available. Finally, both 16-inch and 14-inch variants of Yoga 7i 2-in-1 get updated with Intel Core Ultra chips as well.
Moving onto the IdeaPad family of laptops, Lenovo brings a total of five laptops – three Intel-powered ones will feature Core 7 U-series processors, while the two AMD models can be optioned with the Ryzen 7 8845HS processor. The IdeaPad Slim 5i comes with a unique 15.3-inch 16:10 display, as most displays at this aspect ratio usually jump into 16-inch territory. That aside, the laptop has a 76Wh battery and weighs 1.79kg.
The other four IdeaPad models are the IdeaPad 5 (AMD) and IdeaPad 5i (Intel) models, each with 16-inch and 14-inch options available. These laptops are now available with OLED displays, with the 16-inch models offering QHD+ OLED panels, whereas the 14-inch models offer FHD+ OLED panels. All variants of OLED panels come with 400 nits of brightness, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and comes with touch capabilities.
Lenovo has also introduced the Android-powered tablet, the Tab M11. This tablet comes with an 11-inch FHD display that supports Netflix HD streaming and Dolby Atmos support; powering the tablet is the MediaTek Helio G88 SoC, with the 7040mAh battery claimed to last up to 10 hours of streaming or a full day’s worth of notetaking for students in schools.
Finally, the company also introduces various peripherals, including the Yoga TWS Earbuds and the Yoga Pro Mouse. The former is capable of multi-device connectivity, ANC, and touch-based controls; it’s also rated for IPX4 water resistance and supports fast charging. Meanwhile, the Yoga Pro Mouse comes with multi-device Bluetooth Swift Pair feature, side buttons (programmable), and 3-stage DPI switch up to 4000 dpi, plus an onboard 380mAh battery.
