The Galaxy Z Flip6 is set to feature a 6.7-inch 1080×2640 Dynamic AMOLED 2X folding screen with a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate. The cover display will be a 3.4-inch 720×748 Super AMOLED panel, providing a compact and practical secondary screen. Powering the device is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chipset, which promises top-tier performance. Storage options will include either 256GB or 512GB.

On the camera front, the main shooter is a 50 MP unit with an f/1.8 aperture, likely the same sensor used in the Galaxy S24 series and the Galaxy Z Fold5. The ultrawide camera remains unchanged from the Flip5, offering 12 MP. For selfies, the Galaxy Z Flip6 will continue with the 10 MP front camera seen in its predecessor.

The Galaxy Z Flip6 will support Wi-Fi 6E, although it will miss out on Wi-Fi 7. It will include 14 5G bands, Bluetooth 5.3, and USB 3.2 Gen 1 for enhanced connectivity. In terms of size, the Flip6 measures 165.1 x 71.9 x 6.9 mm when unfolded and weighs 187g, identical to the Flip5. However, a notable improvement is the battery, which has been increased to 4,000 mAh.

The Galaxy Z Flip6 is expected to be priced $100 higher than its predecessor. Whether the incremental upgrades justify the price hike is up to the consumers to decide. The device is anticipated to be unveiled at Samsung’s next Unpacked event, rumored to take place on July 10. Alongside the Flip6, we expect to see the Galaxy Z Fold6, Watch7, Watch Ultra, and the much-anticipated Galaxy Ring.

Pokdepinion: I’m personally okay with this given that last year’s model was a huge leap, so having a more refined version this year is alright, especially since the Fold is expected to be the star of the show this time around.
