The vivo X300 series features the 8T LTPO displays with 2000 nits global peak brightness and full-range DC dimming for eye comfort, in which the X300 features a 6.31-inch display and weighs 190g at a 7.95mm thickness, while the X300 Pro has a 6.78-inch display, weighs 226g, and comes in a slightly thicker 7.99mm body. Both is said to adopt a unibody 3D glass design with a frosted, fingerprint-resistant finish on the chassis.

vivo is very adamant of the X300 Pro being the “concert phone” from its marketing messaging, owing to its new ZEISS APO telephoto camera with 3.7x optical zoom, powered by the tailor-made 200MP 1/1.4″ Samsung ISOCELL HPB sensor, alongside a 50MP Sony LYT-828 sensor for main camera with CIPA 5.5-rated stabilization, and a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL JN1 sensor for ultrawide and selfie duties. These sensors are coupled with the VS1 and V3+ image signal processors (ISPs) for pre- and post-processing respectively.

Meanwhile, The standard X300 repurposes the same ISOCELL HPB sensor to the main camera instead, featuring CIPA 4.5-rated stabilization; the other two are 50MP sensors involving Sony LYT-602 sensor for telephoto, and Samsung ISOCELL JN1 for ultrawide (plus the selfie camera). These sensors only get post-processing courtesy of the VS3+ ISP, although both the X300 and X300 Pro will be compatible with the new optional ZEISS 2.35x telephoto extender kit and grip kit to turn the device back into a camera. Talk about a full-circle moment.

Performance-wise, both models are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset featuring one 4.21GHz Arm C1-Ultra prime core, three 3.5GHz Arm C1-Premium performance cores, and four 2.7GHz Arm C1-Pro efficiency cores. Arm is also responsible for the chipset’s 12-core G1-Ultra GPU, along with an upgraded NPU for AI. Battery capacity stands at 6510mAh for the X300 Pro and 6040mAh for the X300, both supporting 90W wired and 40W wireless charging. vivo also guarantees five years of OS upgrades for both models.

In terms of pricing, the vivo X300 is priced at RM3,599 for the online-exclusive 12+256GB configuration, and RM3,899 for the 16+512GB configuration; they will be available in Phantom Black, Mist Blue, and Halo Pink colorways. As for the vivo X300 Pro, it is offered in 16+512GB only, priced at RM4,699, with Phantom Black, Mist Blue, and Dune Brown color options.

As a side note, for those willing to amp up both phones’ shooting capabilities, the vivo ZEISS 2.35x Telephoto Extender Kit is available for RM699, while the vivo PGYTECH Imaging Grip Kit is available for RM419 apiece.
