In partnership with Warner Brothers Interactive, Intersports created the very first Injustice 2 Pro Series Grand Finals presented by PlayStation 4 which took place last Sunday, 17th September in Los Angeles, California in the United States, at the historic Avalon Hollywood. The Injustice 2 Pro Series Grand Finals caps off a four month long online and offline Injustice 2 Pro Series campaign to decide the final 16 players who will duke it out against each other during the Grand Finals. These 16 players were chosen from different parts of the globe, namely across North America, Europe and Latin America and will have a chance to win a part of the USD200,000 prize pool with the winner with the taking home the majority of the pool.

The 16 players who made it to the Injustice 2 Pro Series Grand Finals are members from various eSports teams such as

  • SonicFox, Theo and Scar from Echo Fox
  • Dragon, Semiij and iLuusions from Team Noble
  • Biohazard from Eanix
  • WhiteBoi from Royal Never Give Up
  • Tekken Master from Nasr eSports
  • A Foxy Grandpa from Team PxP
  • Slayer from Rogue
  • ForeverKing from Circa eSports
  • HoneyBee
  • Hayatei from Panda Global
  • D.R. Gross
  • Madzin

Dominique McLean AKA SonicFox emerged winner of the Injustice 2 Pro Series Grand Finals, dominating throughout the whole competition. The final match, a face off against Semiij from Team Noble, SonicFox’s character Red Hood expertly saw off Semiij’s Catwoman to be crowned champion of the Injustice 2 Pro Series Grand Finals and pocketing a cool USD120,000 from the USD200,000 prize pool.

NetherRealm Studios, the developers of Injustice 2 had a surprise announcement up their sleeve after the Grand Finals was over. They unveiled a brand new trailer announcing the latest addition to the Injustice 2 roster, Mortal Kombat’s God of thunder himself, Raiden.

Not only that, but Raiden has an alternate Premiere Skin which replaces him with DC’s Black Lightning. Raiden will be available this coming October for those who purchased Injustice 2 Ultimate Edition or who purchased the Fighter Pack 2 DLC separately.

Injustice 2 is the super-powered sequel to the hit game Injustice: Gods Among Us that allows players to build and power up the ultimate version of their favorite DC characters. Featuring a massive selection of DC Super Heroes and Super-Villains, players can personalize iconic DC characters with unique and powerful gear earned throughout the game. Additionally, for the first time, gamers can take control of how their characters look, fight and develop across a variety of game modes.
