Fire Emblem Engage Makes Surprise Appearance at Nintendo Direct
Kicking off the latest Nintendo Direct with a bang, Fire Emblem Engage makes a surprise appearance at the digital showcase.
Fire Emblem Engage
Similar to other entries in the franchise, Fire Emblem Engage is a top-down turn-based strategy game. It’s set in the Elyos continent and follows the resurrection of an evil creature thousands of years later.
Previously, a dragon caused chaos in Elyos which resulted in heroes from different realms being summoned to fight against it. After slaying it, peace returned but for some unknown reason, the dragon has returned a thousand years later to wreak havoc. This time, it has become more powerful than ever.
You will be taking on the role of an Emblem warrior who awakes after a thousand years to do battle. This character has a ring which can summon Emblem heroes of the past, including the likes of Marth and Celica. The game appears to be rather similar to Three Houses but with improvements and new mechanics to enjoy.
Fire Emblem Engage will be coming exclusively to the Nintendo Switch on 20th January 2023. There will also be a Divine Edition of the game, which comes with an Art Book, Art Cards, a poster, and a physical copy of the game.
