The character producer for Valorant has shed some light on Riot Games’ plans for the game in 2023, including the number of new agents coming your way.

New Agents in Valorant 2023

Valorant fans have something to look forward to this year as popular game developer / publisher Riot Games recently shared their plans for the year. Character producer John Goscicki revealed that the company will be releasing a new Initiator, a new Sentinel, and a classified third agent in 2023.

Goscicki’s announcement has generated a lot of buzz among fans, especially with the third agent’s role being kept under wraps. This secrecy has led to speculation that Riot may be working on a new fifth role for the game. Although Goscicki remained tight-lipped about the details of the third agent, he did reveal that “Agent 22” will be joining the game soon as an Initiator. The new agent will introduce new and unique ways of dealing with situations, checking corners, getting onto locations, and planting the Spike.

Valorant’s Episode 6 kicked off the year with the introduction of the new Lotus map to the competitive pool, and Split was brought back into the cycle with some tweaks. However, Breeze and Bind were removed from competitive mode. Swiftplay also became a permanent mode in the game, providing a shorter version of Unrated with a small cash boost to both sides of the match.

New Valorant Agent Teaser Leaked - Can Disable Abilities?

In addition, Valorant’s executive producer Anna Donlon has revealed that the game will receive a new team deathmatch mode later this year, and it will be Riot’s unique take on the popular multiplayer mode. Although there are no further details available, fans can expect more updates on the Premier mode in the future.

The current Act of Valorant started on 10th January 2023, and is set to end early next month. Fans can anticipate the arrival of Agent 22 with Episode 6 Act 2, which is expected to be released in March. The most recent Agent to be added to the game is Harbor, who was launched in 2022.

The release of Agent 22 will make Initiator the most populated role in the game, with six agents overall. Although the details of the new agent’s abilities remain a mystery, Riot’s commitment to providing an exciting gaming experience has fans eagerly awaiting the new release. As Riot Games continues to develop Valorant, players can expect even more updates and exciting features in the future.

Pokdepinion: If I’m being completely honest, I wanna see if any of the upcoming heroes will break the game balance either at a similar level to Chamber or worse than that. If it does happen, I hope it doesn’t take too long to fix either.
