Cyberpunk 2077 has been on the lips of everyone ever since it was unveiled back in June of 2019. It seems that the folks behind the game, CD Projekt Red was considering in making the game available to play on VR (virtual reality), according to reports.

In an interview, John Mamais of CD Project Red (who also worked on The Witcher 3) has said that they did indeed consider to use VR for the game, even to the extent of experimentation possibly. They then took things into consideration and pulled out, saying that it wasn’t practical.

We tried, we were thinking about VR but, yeah, we’re not doing anything with VR. We got the VR dev kits but some things would work in VR, but I think, it’s not really viable yet. You’re not making a lot of money in VR yet. It’s very experimental and niche, yeah. I would like to. I like VR but we’re not doing anything with it yet.

Cyberpunk 2077 is set to release in September of this year. The game has been reportedly to be delayed previously due to the lack of power of current-gen consoles.

Pokdepinion: It would’ve been cool if the game did offer a VR experience.. but considering how big the game is reported to be, it does seem like a wise move from the company. I’d definitely get dizzy if I was to travel in the huge world in VR.
