Overall
5/10It appears we’re finally getting some Japanese role-playing game love for Microsoft’s console. It’s called Code Vein by Bandai Namco.
Plenty of J-RPG fans have come to love the PlayStation 4 due to the sheer amount of J-RPGs that are on / coming to the platform compared to its competitors. Will Microsoft’s E3 press conference have something on this end?
The answer is a big yes and it’s called Code: Vein, from the folks over at Bandai Namco. Will this be enough to bring J-RPG fans over to the Microsoft side of games? Let’s take a look.
[E3 2017] Xbox One Gets a Bandai Namco J-RPG; Code Vein
Earlier this year, Bandai Namco publicly announced Code Vein. There was plenty of mysteries surrounding the game as there were very little details to go around with it, especially the platforms that the game will be available in. Now, we know at least one platform; Xbox One.
It has even been noted that Code Vein is not only available for the Xbox One, but also enhanced for the beastly Xbox One X. Whether it will be capable of running in 4K resolution is still yet to be known. We expect more details to arrive in the near future.
At this time, it is not mentioned that Code Vein will be an Xbox One-exclusive title. Therefore, it is to be expected that the game will pop up in other platforms as well, most likely the PlayStation 4. No word on a PC or Nintendo Switch release at this time.
Pokdepinion: Finally, some J-RPG love on the Xbox One. That has always been the reason why I picked the PlayStation 4 before I picked the Xbox One. I’m hoping Code Vein will be a game that will be worth grabbing my hands on, as I’m a huge J-RPG fan myself. Got my fingers crossed on this one.
