Xbox One is already capable of playing so many Xbox 360 games, but not it’s getting a major expansion as far as Backwards Compatibility is concerned.

People were once angered by the fact that you can’t simply play any Xbox 360 games on the Xbox One. Microsoft did implement a backwards compatibility program for the Xbox One, which has since been expanding. At E3 2017, it was revealed that the program is getting a huge expansion that will make plenty of gamers happy. Here’s what happened.

[E3 2017] Microsoft Expands Xbox One Backwards Compatibility

At the E3 2017 press conference, Microsoft has announced their plans on expanding Xbox One’s backwards compatibility program to the first Xbox console. Yes, the original green machine by Microsoft. Original Xbox games will begin appearing on the platform later this year.

Head of Xbox Phil Spencer said:.

OG games will look better and play better across the Xbox One family.

It is said that these backwards compatible Xbox games will be able to take advantage of the stronger hardware of the Xbox One. In fact, it’s expect to look better and load faster when played with the Xbox One X, a.k.a. Xbox One on steroids.

He called out one single game that will be part of the Xbox library on Xbox One due to high demand: Crimson Skies, the fan-favorite aerial dogfight game. Of course, we expect more fan-favourites to pop up along as well. They’d probably want to keep some of the games a surprise.

Pokdepinion: It would be nice to have complete backwards compatibility from the get-go but after getting to know the difficulties and how glitchy it can be to force a game to be running on a different set of hardware, I understand why this needs to be done. I’d take a perfectly running game even if it means me waiting rather than an unstable mess coughUbisoftcough
