The display on the new device features 2160 X 1080 Full HD resolution. It also features a FullView display, where the bezel-less display gives more display with Full HD. The front part of its ‘quad-cameras’ features 13MP+2MP dual-lense with F2.0 wide aperture. It has several preset beauty effects that you could play around with. Dual-slot sim is implemented as usual ( nano SIM, nano SIM/microSD)

HUAWEI also introduced their first smart ambient front flashlight in the device, rendering light to deliver a more natural color reproduction. It will automatically adjust the light intensity in two levels according to ambient lighting.

The nova 2i is packed with Kirin 659 chipset, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. Users can opt to expand their storage up to 256GB via microSD.

The dual-rear cameras on the other hand features 16MP+2MP dual-lenses with RGB sensors to give a better bokeh effect. Powered by HUAWEI’s Emotion UI 5.1, it adapts automatically to the new screen and its contents, allowing users to access more space for split screens.

It packs a 3340 mAh battery, which they claim to be able to support up to two days of typical use. The HUAWEI nova 2i is available in 3 color options, Graphite Black, Prestige Gold, and Aurora Blue. The HUAWEI nova 2i will be retailing at RM1299. Exclusively on 13 October 2017, buyers will also receive a premium gift set worth RM499, which includes a selfie stick, a headphone and a smartphone ring holder with every purchase at HUAWEI Experience stores or Display Zones, while stock lasts.

Pokdepinion: To be honest, I’m quite tired of hearing about ‘selfie smartphones’. But the quality of the camera is nonetheless good, and with the specs that come with it plus the price, I’d say its worth buying.
