Lenovo Legion Teases New, Powerful 5G Gaming Smartphone
It looks like there will be a new challenger in the gaming smartphone market as Lenovo Legion is expected to unveil their take on it soon. There have been teasers posted on Chinese social media Weibo, confirming that it is indeed real.
Based on the teaser picture, the Lenovo Legion gaming smartphone is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset. Not only does this mean that it’s more powerful than the most powerful gaming phone in the market right now, it also means that it will have 5G capabilities.
In a different teaser, it was suggested that the device will have a score that is higher than 600,000 on the AnTuTu benchmark. In comparison, the Snapdragon 865-powered Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro, which has an emphasis on the 600,000 score in the same benchmark.
Nothing else is known about the Lenovo Legion gaming smartphone at the moment. If it wants to compete against what’s available in the market right now, it definitely needs to have a number of key features to succeed this year. Such features include high refresh rate (at least 120Hz), UFS 3.0 storage, and a high capacity LPDDR5 RAM.
Pokdepinion: I’m personally excited to see what they can offer that would stand out from the competition. If they could do a pro version and a more affordable variant, that would be very enticing for a broad range of consumers. Also, I’m hoping the screen size would be big but that’s just my own preference.
