With Malaysian businesses seek better and faster ways to revolutionize and transform themselves, technologies such as cloud computing becomes ever more important to their success. With that in mind, Microsoft has announced of enhancing their cloud portfolio with the launch of the Azure Stack, Microsoft 365 and SQL Server 2017.

For Malaysian businesses today, hybrid cloud is a natural progression regardless of size and budgets, to reach their digital ambitions. The extension of Azure Stack and SQL Server 2017 will offer new applications which will enable better management tools, intelligent application and advanced analytics to not only reduce cost, but also innovate and enable faster time for market for businesses.

Details of the new cloud offerings include;

  • Azure Stack is an extension of Azure that brings speed and fast-paced innovation of cloud computing to on-premises environments and enables entirely new hybrid cloud scenarios. Offering consistent hybrid cloud, an ideal fit for organizations that want flexibility without having to build applications in a different way.
  • Microsoft 365 brings together Office 365, Windows 10, and Enterprise Mobility + Security to deliver a complete intelligent and secure solution to empower employees.
  • SQL Server 2017 provides intelligence on a trusted data platform and enables innovation for all the data of a company. It also enables companies to engage market leading solutions for every workload, which includes Advanced Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing and OLTP.

As part of the launch, Microsoft has multiple offers. Users who sign up for Azure would receive $200 worth of credit to explore services for 30 days, 12 months of popular free services and 25+ services free of charge. Microsoft 365’s Fast Track customer service is available as part of the subscription. Additionally, there is a 30% discount to run SQL Server on Linux. Migration to SQL would also entitle businesses to receive free licenses, free training and subsidized assessments and support services until June 2018.
