Sony has officially launched the new Sony ZV-E10 II in Malaysia. This latest addition to the brand’s vlogging-focused APS-C camera lineup comes with interchangeable lens capability and supports up to 4K resolution video recordings, marking a significant upgrade over its predecessor.
Sony ZV-E10 II

The ZV-E10 II features a new 26MP Exmor R CMOS sensor and relies on electronic stabilization, maintaining the reliable autofocus performance that Sony Alpha cameras are renowned for. It is powered by the NP-FZ100 battery, commonly found in Sony’s full-frame cameras, and offers a continuous video shooting time of up to 195 minutes.

For video enthusiasts, the ZV-E10 II can record 4K video at up to 30fps without any crop. However, shooting at 60fps introduces a slight 1.1x crop. The camera also boasts a cinematic vlog setting that optimizes aspect ratio, frame rate, and autofocus transition speed to deliver a more professional look.

Additional features include simplified controls with a touch interface, a Cinematic Vlog mode, and dedicated buttons for Bokeh Mode and Product Showcase. Sony has also improved the user experience with a new vertical-oriented interface and enhanced connectivity options for live streaming and data transfer.
Available in Black and White, the Sony ZV-E10 II is priced at RM4,999 for the body only or RM5,199 when bundled with the new 16-50mm kit lens. Pre-orders are now open, with nationwide availability slated for August 2024. Those who pre-ordered before today can start collecting their units from Sony Malaysia starting tomorrow.
Pokdepinion: I was expecting a lower price point given its predecessor but that is still pretty solid value in a camera. If you want something with a bit more flexibility in upgrades and long-term use, it would be better to get this over the ZV1-II, but if you to keep things simple, no harm in getting the compact camera instead.
