As NVIDIA just took its wraps off its new GeForce RTX 5060 family of GPUs, the ball is now on AMD’s court to respond with its equivalent. According to leaker Hoang Anh Phu (who has a solid track record), Team Red will be announcing the upcoming Radeon RX 9060 XT in Computex, followed by retail launch two weeks later.
RX 9060 XT Coming To Computex?

In case you’re out of the loop, 2025’s rendition of Computex will be held in Taipei starting May 20 to 23, although AMD’s keynote or any announcements in the form of press releases will most certainly be on the first day of the event. As such, the retail launch – assuming the leak is correct – will be on the first week of June.
Earlier leaks have already suggested that the Radeon RX 9060 XT will be split into two memory configurations: 16GB GDDR6 and 8GB GDDR6. The latter is unlikely to be well-received, as games easily demand more than 8GB of video memory these days if graphical fidelity sits reasonably high in a PC gamer’s priority list. The Navi 44 silicon that will power this new GPU is reportedly featuring 32 Compute Units (CUs), although the clock speeds are boosted significantly to compensate for the unchanged core count from its predecessor.
Pricing will be another key for this lineup, as with all other mid-range GPUs. With NVIDIA already laid out its cards on the table, AMD has more than a month’s time to respond – aggressive pricing must be considered if Team Red wants to upend the status quo of the mid-range segment.
