Videocardz recently has revealed the alleged specs of AMD’s upcoming mid-range Radeon RX 9060 XT GPU, which is aimed at NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5060 Ti that is reportedly launching very soon. According to the specs, the new Radeon GPU will use a smaller silicon in the form of Navi 44 XT.

Radeon RX 9060 XT Specs

According to the publication, this new GPU will feature 2048 stream processors (32 CUs), which is less than two-thirds of Radeon RX 9070 at 3584 SPs (56 CUs). While the core count is greatly reduced, in return the clock speed is boosted significantly – game clock is listed as 2620 MHz, while boost clock is listed as 3230 MHz. This means the new card will be 150MHz and 475MHz faster, respectively, over its direct predecessor, the Radeon RX 7600 XT. Memory configuration reportedly comes in two flavors: 8GB and 16GB, both using GDDR6 technology.

Moreover, the overclocked variants of the 9060 XT is reportedly cranking the boost clock up to 3300 MHz; power supply requirements are reported as 500W for non-OC cards, while OC cards may ask for 550W or higher (no TBP figures were publicized at this time). One additional limitation of this new GPU is the supported display outputs: instead of four outputs ubiquitous in all modern GPUs today, the new Radeon card will only feature three outputs, likely as a result of Navi 44’s limitations.

While NVIDIA will be releasing its mid-range entrant very soon, there’s no word on when AMD will be releasing their equivalent. Computex seems to be too far away as it is still 5 weeks away, so it’s unlikely that Team Red will be pushing the launch this late and effectively hand over 5 weeks’ worth (or even more) of advantage in the GPU market.

Pokdepinion: Like the 9070 XT, pricing will be important in determining the GPU’s worth.
