Hey Spotify Lets You Control Your Music Hands-free Soon
While you could use your voice assistant (such as Siri, Alexa, Google Assistant, and the likes) to play a song on Spotify, the company has decided to introduce their own hands-free option with Hey Spotify.

Hey Spotify as you might’ve expect, allows you to control the music streaming app simply by voice commands. There is a downside however as it appears that you will need to leave the app open for the feature to work.
The feature is rolling out to both Android and iOS devices, where it has been in the works for over a year. There’s no specific dates announced of when it will arrive to devices here in Malaysia but should it arrive, the app will prompt you to give it a go. You can also toggle it manually by heading to your settings and then microphone permissions, once it becomes available of course.
