WhatsApp Business Users Can Soon Create Ads Without Facebook Accounts
Various businesses, especially SMEs (Small and Medium-sized Enterprises) rely on WhatsApp as part of their daily operations, and WhatsApp has utilized the platform to allow businesses to advertise on the platform. However, that required a Facebook account as the app itself didn’t have built in ad tools – and WhatsApp says that is changing moving forward.
Soon users of WhatsApp Business can create and publish ads straight from the app itself, with no requirement to create or sign in to Facebook. The developer says all you need is an email address and a form of payment, after that businesses can get going right away. When users click on the ads, it will redirect them to the WhatsApp chat so they can make enquiries, browse products and make a purchase.
This will be a minor but perhaps great news for small businesses that do not need Facebook app beyond the sole purpose of making their ads work. The app is also testing a new feature soon where small businesses can send personalized messages to each customers, such as appointment reminders, birthday messages or just generally updates on sales. This process will be automated, so businesses don’t have to manually send messages to every customer. More details will be available down the line, says the developer.
Pokdepinion: This should simplify the process for small business owners to get their messages across, all in a single app.
