Razer Moray Is The Brand’s Gaming-Focused In-Ear Monitor Entry
Razer is no stranger to audio products at this point, they have speakers, soundbars, headsets, earbuds – and the THX acquisition does help with their audio expertise somewhat. Today Razer is announcing another new line of audio products, falling under the IEM (in-ear monitor) category: the Razer Moray.
As with many of the IEMs on the market, the Moray features dual-driver system that pairs a standard dynamic driver with balanced armature (BA) driver. IEMs use BA drivers for better sound isolation (meaning, better response to frequency) with a tradeoff that it only operates in a relatively narrow range of audio frequency – which in this case the dynamic driver covers the frequencies outside of BA drivers. It also comes with a detachable MMCX cable which is another common IEM design.
Razer touts the Moray as the IEM for streamers, with -36dB passive noise isolation, with ear tips comes included with three sizes with two materials: memory foam and silicone. It also comes with a carrying case that the company says is water-resistant. As with IEMs, it does not come with onboard microphone – so you’re supposed to bring your own.
Razer Moray is now available now at Razer.com stores and resellers with the local pricing of RM669.
Pokdepinion: Didn’t expect Razer to design an IEM – audiophiles would definitely take a close look at it.
