WhatsApp Will Allow Users to Save Disappearing Messages
It appears that WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will allows users to save disappearing messages. Yes, it means that people can choose to keep messages that were intended to only be displayed temporarily. However, there is a catch as the sender will be notified that the message has been saved.
This feature was previously found in the Android beta back in March and has since been spotted in the iOS and desktop beta. This would mean that the feature is currently being worked on enough to be considered for a public release. At the moment, it can work for both individual and group chats.
In case you’re wondering, there are a number of other features being worked on for WhatsApp, including silent group exits, chat filtering, and a companion mode. As for the save disappearing messages features, there is no release date yet so we will report more on this as soon as information becomes available so stay tuned.
Pokdepinion: With this feature, it really makes me wonder what’s the point of having disappearing messages to begin with. It’s adding new tools and then newer ones after that to make the previous one rather redundant.
