ASUS has announced that its Pro WS WRX90E-SAGE SE workstation motherboard has achieved 46 new performance records paired with AMD’s new Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9000 series processors, including the 9965WX, 9975WX, 9985WX, and 9995WX. The results include eight world records, 31 global first-place records, and seven hardware first-place records.

The motherboard was used by professional overclockers including CENS, SEBY, bl4ckdot, Paul7347, and jiacheng_liu, pushing the 96-core, 192-thread Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9995WX to its limits. Among the results, SEBY surpassed his own HWBOT x265 4K world record by 20% using the same board (which was originally launched for Threadripper 7000 models).

Another popular benchmark among overclockers is the Cinebench R23 test. The previous record holder was, unsurprisingly, the predecessor of the new record holder – the Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7995WX, scoaring 210,702 points; the new chip broke this record with 227,817 points, which is an 8% increase. Other records in the list includes Geekbench 3, Y-cruncher, and 7-Zip benchmarks across different processor models, ASUS says.

ASUS has given its Pro WS WRX90E-SAGE SE motherboard a robust VRM system with a (16×2)+3+3+3 stage configuration, with active cooling, quick access for overclocking controls, and support for sub-zero cooling setups via LN2 mode to give extreme overclocks every bit of advantage they can get.
