CMF has announced the CMF Speaker S and CMF Speaker M, its first portable speaker series. The two models bring CMF’s geometric design language to the audio space, pairing IP68 dust and water resistance, Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity, and up to 18 hours of battery life with support for Stereo Mode and Auracast-based Party Mode for multi-speaker listening.
CMF Speaker S & Speaker M Features

The CMF Speaker S is the smaller of the two, built around a 45mm full-range driver and dual passive radiators for up to 10W RMS output across a 70Hz to 20kHz frequency range. Its compact upright form includes a built-in attachment point for carabiner use, making it straightforward to carry on a bag or strap.

The CMF Speaker M scales up to a dual-driver closed-box architecture, pairing a dedicated 25W woofer with a 10W tweeter for 35W RMS output across a 60Hz to 20kHz range. An integrated handle makes it easy to move between spaces. Both models are available in White, Dark Grey, Orange, and Turquoise, with swappable front panels and knobs, and support for standardized 3D-printable custom designs.

Both speakers share a hardware-level Adaptive Tuning algorithm that continuously analyzes playback and adjusts output and EQ in real time without requiring the app. Ultra Bass adds controlled low-end emphasis, Wide Soundstage broadens the perceived sense of space from a single unit, and four Custom EQ presets (Balanced, More Bass, More Treble, and Voice) are accessible through the Nothing X app.
For multi-speaker setups, two identical Speaker S units or two identical Speaker M units can be paired into true left-and-right Stereo Mode. Auracast-based Party Mode synchronizes playback across two or more compatible speakers, including supported models from other brands. Physical controls are kept on the speaker itself: a tactile knob handles playback, track navigation, volume, and Ultra Bass, with separate dedicated buttons for power, Bluetooth pairing, and Auracast.

Connectivity covers Bluetooth 6.0 alongside NFC tap-to-pair, Google Fast Pair, and Microsoft Swift Pair, along with Multipoint support; USB-C audio support adds low-latency digital playback for music, movies, and gaming. Auto Wake Up allows a speaker on external power to enter standby and wake automatically when a paired device reconnects. Full specs are as follows:

Pokdepinion: That’s a lot of customization for something as mundane as a portable speaker.
