Want to create AI slop for a future job opportunity? Tune Talk is offering Malaysian students a chance to win prizes and even earn an internship position in the company if you have the means to make an “AI-generated ad that best represents Tune Talk.” Not the smartest idea, we might add – see exhibit 1, and exhibit 2.
Tune Talk NextGEN Challenge Wants You To Create AI Slop

In any case, you’re looking at the Tune Talk NextGEN challenge where the telco operator invites Malaysian students aged 18 to 25 to create AI-generated advertisements for the brand, using nothing more than prompts with your AI chatbot of choice. The campaign, which ends 30 November this year, offers a total cash prize pool of RM10,000 and optional six-month internships for the top three winners.
The AI-generated ad either has to be a short video under 60 seconds or a static visual – the telco specifically rejects the purest form of human creativity as it demands entries to incorporate slopified elements including visuals, script, or voiceover. Said AI-generated elements should carry a telco-related angle covering themes like data, speed, or rewards.
Tune Talk specifically noted the AI-generated-only rule allows for “low friction” creation of content, as text prompts (and probably an AI subscription as well) are all that is needed. The company will also bring the campaign directly to campuses through a nationwide university roadshow where students can create and submit entries on the spot.
Three finalists will be shortlisted by the end of each month, with the eventual winners to be announced in November 2026. The Grand Prize winner takes home RM5,000, the 1st Runner-Up receives RM3,000, and the 2nd Runner-Up receives RM2,000; all three winners will also be offered an optional six-month internship with Tune Talk, although the telco stopped short of saying what would the job scope be.
Pokdepinion: Ah yes, because AI slop is very popular and welcomed among consumers, right?
