Delta Electronics has unveiled its AI Modular Data Center (AI MDC) and Microgrid Solutions at Data Center World (DCW) Asia 2026, held on 29 and 30 September at Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre in Singapore. The system integrates next-generation 800VDC In-Row Power and liquid cooling systems designed for fast deployment and scalability, with compatibility built around the NVIDIA Vera Rubin architecture.
Delta Electronics AI MDC Solution
The 800VDC In-Row Power architecture on display delivers 660kW of output power and achieves up to 98% AC-DC efficiency, while battery backup units (BBU) offer 480kW of capacity, and aluminum capacitors are used to optimize GPU workloads in next-generation AI datacenters. A high-voltage direct current (HVDC) 3.6MW in-row coolant distribution unit (CDU) handles the thermal demands of high-density AI workloads.
Delta’s prefabricated AI Containerized Data Center (CDC) Solutions deliver up to 60kW per rack of AI compute within the footprint of a single parking space. An integrated Liquid-to-Air CDU system brings the Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) as low as 1.19, close to the theoretical ideal of 1.0. At the board level, Delta has developed a dedicated cold plate for the NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72, incorporating a microchannel and multi-impinging flow design for targeted thermal management.
The Microgrid Solution presented at DCW Asia 2026 combines on-site energy generation, energy storage, power conversion, and Solid State Transformers (SST) in a prefabricated DC-coupled architecture. The SSTs are capable of directly converting medium voltage power to 800VDC, reducing the number of conversion stages and allowing the system to respond to fluctuating AI loads.
Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC) technology provides reliable on-site power generation around the clock, and real-time coordination across multiple energy sources maintains uptime and power quality during grid connection delays or off-grid operation. The architecture supports scalable deployment and is intended to serve what Delta describes as the AI factories of the future.
