Lian Li has announced the Edge Platinum V2 and Edge Gold V2 power supply units (PSUs), alongside the Edge Hub ADV and Edge Hub V2 expansion accessories. All models share an L-shaped ATX 3.1 form factor engineered specifically for dual-chamber PC cases, with fully modular cabling and a shared footprint of 182mm x 86mm x 150mm across every wattage option.

All Edge V2 units carry a 10-year warranty and are certified by 80 PLUS, PPLP, and Cybenetics at their respective efficiency tiers. Both Gold and Platinum models include a 120mm fluid dynamic bearing (FDB) fan with a zero-RPM on/off switch and a removable magnetic dust filter. The Platinum V2 goes further with a 360-hour cleaning reminder, which turns an internal LED red once the fan runtime threshold is reached.

Cabling differs between the two tiers: the Edge Gold V2 uses flat cables with a braided-texture finish, while the Edge Platinum V2 features individually braided cables with pre-installed cable combs on the 20+4-pin and 12V-2×6 GPU connectors. The 1350W Platinum V2 also ships with an additional set of shortened 20+4-pin and 12V-2×6 cables suited for back-connect motherboards and Strimer RGB routing, plus a dedicated 12V-2×6 cable with an integrated GPU-side thermal sensor for use with the Edge Hub ADV.

The Edge Hub V2, bundled with the Gold V2 1000W and Platinum V2 1000W/1200W, provides six independently controlled PWM fan channels and four USB 2.0 9-pin ports. It uses a dual 1-to-4 parallel hub chip architecture for more effective USB bandwidth distribution, with real-time per-port monitoring available through Lian Li’s L-Connect 3 software. This is designed to flag high USB loads before they cause screen freezes or display glitches on connected peripherals such as LCD fans, AIO displays, and Strimer devices.

The Edge Hub ADV, bundled exclusively with the 1350W Platinum V2, shares the same six-channel PWM and four-port USB layout but adds dedicated thermal monitoring. NTC sensors track temperatures on up to two 12V-2×6 GPU power cables as well as within the hub itself. An onboard 32-bit ARM MCU powers the monitoring engine, which delivers visual alerts in L-Connect 3 or sends email notifications when temperatures exceed set thresholds. If temperatures remain above the threshold for 15 minutes, the system initiates an automatic shutdown as a protective measure. Both hubs feature magnetic mounting and are also available for purchase separately.

Pokdepinion: Hopefully this cable temperature detection works, given the countless amounts of failed detectors we’ve seen up until this point.
