Genting Malaysia And Alibaba Cloud Build On Existing Technology Partnership
The MoU builds on a prior collaboration between the two companies at Genting SkyWorlds Theme Park, where AI and cloud technology was explored to support guest experience. The new agreement provides a broader framework for identifying further opportunities across Genting Malaysia’s wider business operations.
Under the MoU, both parties will explore potential applications of Alibaba Cloud’s AI and cloud technologies across areas that may include employee productivity, operational efficiency and guest experience enhancement. The approach outlined involves identifying relevant use cases, testing their suitability and assessing their value before any wider adoption is considered.
“As a business with diverse operations, we see opportunities to evaluate how AI and cloud technologies can help our teams work more effectively and enhance the experiences we offer our guests,” said Dato’ Indera Lim Keong Hui. “This MoU allows us to take a structured approach to identifying relevant use cases, testing their suitability and assessing their value before considering wider adoption. We look forward to building on our existing relationship with Alibaba Cloud as we advance our digital capabilities.”
Choong Hon Keat noted: :Genting SkyWorlds demonstrated how AI and cloud technology can be applied to a practical operational challenge while enhancing the guest experience. Building on this collaboration, we look forward to working with Genting Malaysia to identify further opportunities across its business functions. By combining our AI and cloud capabilities with GENM’s understanding of its operational needs, we aim to assess applications that can deliver measurable value for its teams and customers.”
Pokdepinion: A whole MoU just to say they’re still figuring out what to do with AI, at least they’re honest about it.
