Logitech: science wins, not luck
The next time someone says you were lucky to win, tell them to bang the nearest wall they can find with their heads, as winning takes skill, and also science, according to Logitech. Logitech has spent over 30 years pursuing research and development of gaming gear relentlessly, as their slogan “game with passion, win with science” suggests, just to give you that edge over the n00bs with inferior peripherals.
Over years of R&D and engineering, Logitech has redesigned their keyboards with different materials placed at specific locations to match the position of a gamers hand. Each zone is purposefully finished in that specific material to improve comfort, control and durability. Take the Logitech G810 Orion Spectrum for example.
The Romer-G mechanical key switches are suitable for any kind of game, with a tactile bump to let you know that you have actuated a key. The hydrophobic coating around the areas where gamers will touch the most prevents gamers from leaving ugly smudge marks that they will have to wipe off later. It is no surprise that it became a clear favorite for First Person Shooter (FPS) and Multi-Player Online Battle Arena (MOBA) games such as League of Legends (LoL), CS: GO, Overwatch, DOTA 2 and Heroes of Newerth (HoN).
Logitech’s gaming mice are top notch, as I have seen in the Logitech G502 Proteus Core, and it remains one of the best mice I have used, yet. The PixArt PMW3366, one of the most accurate optical sensors out there, is great for any game. The only complaints one can have is that it isn’t wireless, or if they dislike the futuristic ergonomic design. Well, the Logitech G900 Chaos Spectrum is wireless, and is also redesigned with an ambidextrous shape, so left handed gamers need not feel left out. Despite being wireless, you get the same 1000 Hz polling rate, so there will not be any latency to speak of. Running low on battery over the marathon gaming session? Just connect the cable and the Logitech G900 Chaos Spectrum will be juicing up while you pwn.
You can have all the fast reflexes you want, but you will have to have the stimuli to know how to respond to a gaming situation. With the Logitech G633 Artemis Spectrum, you will always know if the enemy is sneaking up on you, thanks to incredible surround sound. The built-in mic also offers easy communication with your teammates for a strong gank or focused team effort to take down objectives.
Well, just ask the national LOL team, the Kuala Lumpur Hunters who have chosen the Logitech G900 Chaos Spectrum mouse and Logitech G810 Orion Spectrum keyboard as their weapons of choice.
This feature was brought to you by Logitech Malaysia.
Pokdepinion: I have reviewed the Logitech G810 Orion Spectrum and I am currently using the Logitech G502 Proteus Core. Both are great peripherals that show Logitech has actually put some effort into producing great gaming peripherals to grant that extra edge in games.
Have you guys tested G910 Orion Spectrum RGB? I’m wondering if the palm rest will fit with Orion Spark RGB. Orion Spark like a bit cacat since it is asymmetrical, if I do work typing etc right palm tak dapat rest like left palm.
Hi carbonytte, no we have not tried the G910 Orion Spectrum RGB nor the Orion Spark RGB. From looks alone, the palm rests seem swappable? Perhaps contact Logitech through their FB page?
