The 2024 Lexus LBX has officially launched in Malaysia, offering two distinct variants: Premium and Luxury. Exclusively available with a hybrid powertrain, the Lexus LBX starts at RM238,888 on-the-road, without insurance.

Introduced in June 2023, the Lexus LBX is a new compact luxury SUV that breaks from the brand’s typical two-letter naming convention, adopting a three-letter designation instead. Sharing its platform with the European Toyota Yaris Cross, the LBX is designed to deliver both luxury and practicality.

The Lexus LBX is powered by a hybrid system that combines a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated 3-cylinder petrol engine with an AC synchronous motor. The petrol engine generates 91 hp and 120 Nm of torque, while the electric motor produces 80 hp and 141 Nm of torque. Combined, the hybrid system delivers a total power output of 134 hp, paired with an e-CVT transmission and front-wheel drive (FWD).
Inside, both variants of the Lexus LBX feature a 9.8-inch head unit with wireless Apple CarPlay support. Additional standard features include:

Pokdepinion: I kind of wished it was taller since it’s an SUV but this would make it more aerodynamic when driving at highways. I’m personally a bigger fan of the RX 500h F Sport but this feels more fitting for the everyday driver.
