Razer is refreshing its Huntsman V3 Pro lineup with new models focusing on 8000Hz polling rate upgrades, featuring standard full-size and tenkeyless (TKL) formats – that aside, these new models are otherwise mostly identical to the original models launched two years ago.

Like the original, the new Huntsman V3 Pro 8KHz continues to adopt Razer’s Analog Optical Switches Gen-2 paired with 8000Hz “HyperPolling” technology, although in this case Razer claims it to be the fastest version of 8KHz hardware with input latency as low as 0.58 milliseconds (or 11% faster than nearest competition). Each key features an adjustable actuation range from 0.1-4.0mm, plus there’s Rapid Trigger Mode and Snap Tap that provides faster key inputs (if the game allows it).

The other difference between the new 8KHz variant and the original Huntsman V3 Pros comes down to switch lubrication and acoustics: Razer says the keyboards are equipped with pre-lubricated stabilizers, doubleshot PBT keycaps, and a magnetic leatherette wrist; the chassis meanwhile is constructed using aluminum alloy top case and sound-dampening foam for consistent typing acoustics.

The rest of Huntsman V3 Pro 8KHz lineup’s feature set are inherited from the original, including a multi-function digital dial, dedicated media buttons, onboard LED indicators for quick adjustments to actuation height and sensitivity without relying on software, along with onboard memory profiles. Unfortunately though, drawbacks like the undetachable USB cable remained.

There will be four new models in this refreshed lineup. The Razer Huntsman V3 Pro 8KHz is priced at RM1,249 exclusively in the black color, while the Tenkeyless version – available in Black, White, and Esports Green variants – starts at RM1,099 for the Black version, while the White Edition is priced at RM1,149. No word on Esports Green Edition pricing at the time of this writing, despite it being announced yesterday as part of the new Collection release.

Pokdepinion: Not a major upgrade if you’re a casual gamer, and I wished the cable is detachable at least.
