CelcomDigi is introducing a new brand called Spark, acting as the telco giant’s eSIM-only operator and succeeding the now-defunct Yoodo brand. The premise of Spark is users can sign up, activate service, and manage their mobile plans without physical SIM cards or visits to retail outlets – maximum convenience, that is to say.

Spark is offered in three monthly plans starting from RM15/month (Mini) with a 3GB quota on 4G network, along with two upper-tier plans that offers 40GB 5G/4G quota on RM25/month (Standard), or the 200GB-per-month plan (Plus) that costs RM65/month. The service allows up to five lines to be managed under a single account, and customers can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel their subscription at any time through the app with no contract requirements.

Since Spark operates exclusively via digital touchpoints, everything is done within the app: you can pay for things like data boosters, on-demand roaming (priced from RM4), and an option to pause or resume service as needed. For technical support, all of these is also done virtually via live chat within the app. Note that mobile port-ins are not yet available at this moment, and it seems like this will be added in the future based on CelcomDigi’s wording.

To sign-up the service, customers need a device that supports eSIM, which is supported on the majority of flagship smartphones along with some mid-range models (here’s the list). Simply download the Spark app from your platform of choice, select a number and preferred plan, and you’re good to go; users who activate Spark by 31 December 2025 will be eligible to redeem a RM5 discount off their monthly subscription for 12 months.

Pokdepinion: This sounds as hassle-free as it gets, which is good news.
