WoW Forever Dungeons and Raids by Level: Every Instance and When to Run It

WoW Forever dungeons run from level 13 to 60: nine new instances sit beside the original twenty from 2004, and three raids wait at the level cap. Below is every dungeon in level order, where each sits in the world, and what the group requirements for level 60 raids are.

How Dungeon and Raid Progression Works in WoW Forever

World of Warcraft: Forever launches on November 4, 2026 and will bring back the cap at level 60. While the new Forever version of WoW aims to bring back the vanilla experience, it will be nothing like WoW Classic Era, the Burning Crusade Anniversary realms, or retail Midnight. From level 13 to 60, most of the instances five-player dungeons: shared party instances with a fixed map. The nine new Forever dungeons sit between the same twenty original locations from 2004, which keep their Classic level ranges. Level ranges for the new ones come from the September 2026 beta build and can still change before launch. If you know the old Classic list, the Forever list feels denser: almost every level band now has another door to knock on.

Raids are a separate step at level 60 and open several weeks after launch. Barrow Deeps is built for 10 players and Hyjal Summit for 20, and a WoW Forever powerleveling service is one way to reach the level cap before they open.

Ranges for the nine new dungeons come from the September 2026 beta build; original dungeons keep their Classic ranges. Blizzard added nine new dungeons at launch, from Hall of Thanes at 13-18 through Shaper’s Terrace at 58-60, which matches Blizzard Watch’s rundown of the new content. That lineup sits beside Blizzard’s Forever announcement, which framed Forever as its own track rather than Classic Era or retail.

Levels 13 to 30: The First Dungeons

Hall of Thanes and Ruins of Lordaeron are the two new additions in Forever that players from 13 to 20 can run. They are located in Ironforge and Tirisfal Glades respectively, with Ragefire Chasm in Orgrimmar, and  Deadmines in Westfall remaining as the vanilla dungeons. This makes up for two easy-to-reach Alliance-side (Hall of Thanes under Ironforge), and Horde-side (Ruins of Lordaeron for players moving through Tirisfal) runs early on. That placement matters on a fresh economy, when travel time and corpse runs still decide whether a group reforms or dissolves.

From level 20 to level 30, the list widens: Wailing Caverns, Shadowfang Keep, Blackfathom Deeps, Excavation Site in the Wetlands, The Stockade in Stormwind, and City of Dalaran at the top of the band in the Alterac Mountains. Excavation Site and City of Dalaran fill the 24-33 gap that Classic left thinner, so the mid-20s are no longer a short hop between Blackfathom and Gnomeregan. City of Dalaran puts the ruined mage city on the dungeon map before max level. With four or five options in the band, a group rarely has to wait on one specific entrance. If a party is bouncing between the Barrens and Silverpine, the Wetlands dig and the Stormwind stockade also give two short travel options when a farther group falls apart.

Levels 30 to 50: Mid-Game Dungeons

Between levels 30-40, players can run Gnomeregan and Razorfen Kraul. Gnomeregan and Razorfen Kraul will be alternatives to the four wings of Scarlet Monastery, which alone cover levels 30-46.  The Drowned City adds a Forever run in Stranglethorn Vale at 35-40, which gives mid-level groups another target when Scarlet is full or when a party wants a different route from Tirisfal. Scarlet Monastery still carries a long stretch of the bracket on its own, meaning the new instance is the spare option, not a replacement.

For the 40-50 band, the list is Uldaman, Razorfen Downs, Krol’dok Stronghold, Zul’Farrak, Maraudon, and Alcaz Island Prison at 48-53. Krol’dok Stronghold sits in Riverglades, a new WoW Forever zone that spans about levels 30-45. Alcaz Island Prison is on the island off the Dustwallow Marsh coast. The 40s were thin in 2004, but the table now shows two new dungeons in a row across that range, so mid-game groups have backup targets when Zul’Farrak or Uldaman groups are full. That is the practical read of the table: more dungeon options, not a different leveling plan. Bring a route for both a Barrens night and a Riverglades night so one canceled run does not waste the session.

Levels 50 to 60: Endgame Dungeons Before the Raids

WoW Forever Dungeons and Raids by Level: Complete List - 16

The last stretch to level 60 stacks Temple of Atal’Hakkar, Blackrock Depths, Blackmaw Hold in Azshara, Lower Blackrock Spire, Shaper’s Terrace in Un’Goro Crater, Dire Maul, Scholomance, Stratholme, and Upper Blackrock Spire. This is where players farm pre-raid gear while climbing to the cap.  Blackmaw Hold and Shaper’s Terrace are the new additions that mean the final levels are no longer only Blackrock Mountain and the Plaguelands.  They unlock a quest chain that may reshape how returning players think about endgame. Plan on running these several times to get a good set of gear to take into December, and also be sure to have enough bag space to hold all of the trade goods that can be earned from running Blackrock Depths and Dire Maul.

The Level 60 Raids

WoW Forever Dungeons and Raids by Level: Complete List - 18

The first tier of level 60 raids won’t open right from the start. Blizzard’s roadmap recap states that the new raids will unlock on December 9, 2026, five weeks into Forever. The level-60 raid hunt will start with Barrow Deeps as a maximum-level 10-player raid and Hyjal Summit as a 20-player raid.

Barrow Deeps (10 players)

First up for raiding is Barrow Deeps, a 10-player raid at level 60 set in the prison where Illidan was held in Warcraft lore, with an entrance on Mount Hyjal. It is the smallest roster in the opening tier, and the clearest fit for a small guild night or a friend group that cannot field a full twenty.

Hyjal Summit (20 players)

Hyjal Summit is a 20-player raid in the new high-level zone of Mount Hyjal. Blizzard’s recap calls Hyjal one of Warcraft’s most important locations. Together with Barrow Deeps, it is one of the two Forever-original raids in the first unlock, and the larger roster many guilds will treat as their main weekly clear.

Onyxia’s Lair (40 players)

Onyxia’s Lair is one of the iconic raids from 2004. It’s a level 60 raid in Dustwallow Marsh for 40 players (see Wowhead and Icy Veins for more info on the raid). However, Blizzard states only Barrow Deeps and Hyjal Summit as the first batch of raid unlocks, so treat the 40-player listing as community-database reporting until Blizzard states it the same way.

10-player, 20-player, and 40-player raids are different roster sizes for different headcounts. Clearing a 10-player raid on a guild night is a very different proposition to taking 40 players to run an Onyxia’s Lair on the same date. WoW Forever sorts players by ruleset instead of old-style realms, which changes where you look for a raid group under the megaserver change.

What Comes After the First Raid Tier

Blizzard’s roadmap plans to add more raids and dungeons after the first tier, including a revamped version of one of the game’s most beloved and enduring raids. Blizzard Watch reports the next two raids as one 10-player and one 20-player instance. While the exact dates of these raids are not public yet, this dungeon list is just the launch map and each new phase adds to it rather than replacing the leveling route you plan now.
