Acer has announced a wide range of new laptops and desktops at IFA 2025, including the ultralight Swift Air 16, the business-focused TravelMate X14 AI, refreshed Nitro gaming laptops and desktops, and the new Predator Helios 18P AI hybrid laptop along with high-performance Predator Orion desktops.
New Acer Laptops

The Acer Swift Air 16 is the latest sub-1kg laptop from the brand despite being in the larger 16-inch-class chassis, mainly thinks to its magnesium-aluminum alloy construction – it’s powered by up to AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 processor, paired with up to 32GB RAM and 1TB SSD; it also features a 16-inch 3K 120Hz AMOLED panel (or an alternate FHD+ 60Hz IPS panel), with a claimed battery life of up to 13 hours from its rather small 50Wh battery – which likely is a trade-off from the laptop’s weight-reduction strategy.

For business segments, Acer introduces the TravelMate X4 14 AI 14-inch Copilot+ PC powered by up to Intel Core Ultra 7 258V processor with 32GB of LPDDR5X memory and 1TB SSD storage. As standard, the laptop comes with a 14-inch FHD+ display, with optional OLED display featuring 500 nits of brightness and TÜV Low Blue Light certification.
Gaming Laptops

Moving on to gaming segments, Acer introduces two refreshed Nitro laptops: the Nitro V 16 (ANV16-72) and Nitro V 16S (ANV16S-71) both feature up to Intel Core 9 270H based on the aging Raptor Lake architecture, paired with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPUs. Both laptops include QHD+ 180Hz displays or FHD+ 180Hz displays, along with Killer hardware for both wired and wireless connectivity.

At the top of the lineup, Acer introduced the Predator Helios 18P AI, a “hybrid” gaming laptop that, in Acer’s words, is “built for business”. Despite its gamery looks, it features Intel Core Ultra 9 285HX processor with vPro support and ECC memory up to 192GB, coupled with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU. It otherwise shares similar specs to its more gaming-focused sibling, the Predator Helios 18 AI, with similar display specs (4K 120Hz Mini-LED), same 6th Gen AeroBlade cooling system, and Thunderbolt 5 support.
Gaming Desktops

As for desktops, Acer has new models for both its Nitro and Predator lineups. The Nitro 70 desktop can be optioned with AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D processors, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 GPUs, up to 128GB RAM, and 2TB SSD storage; meanwhile, the Nitro 50 maxes out with Ryzen 7 8700G APU and a GeForce RTX 5080 (a rather odd pairing, if you ask me).

Then you have Predator Orion 7000, featuring up to Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 GPU, along with up to 128GB RAM and 6TB SSD. The more compact Predator Orion 5000 sits a tier below with the pairing of Intel Core Ultra 7 265F processor and up to RTX 5080 graphics. Both system feature the same I/O, including Thunderbolt 4, 2.5GbE LAN, Wi-Fi 7, and various assortment of USB ports.
Acer has only listed availability information for EMEA and North American regions, so there’s no word on when they’ll arrive in Asian regions, or Malaysia in particular. The gist is that most products will gradually launch starting Q1 2026, with select models now already available in regions aforementioned.
Pokdepinion: I certainly didn’t expect ECC memory to appear on a gaming laptop.
