More laptops from CES 2024: Apart from the Aspire lineup, Acer is also introducing new models for its Swift line of laptops. The new lineup includes the new Swift Go 16 (SFG16-72) and Swift Go 14 (SFG14-73), as well as the new Swift X 14 (SFX14-72G) laptop.

Both new Swift Go models are now Intel Evo Edition certified, featuring Intel Core Ultra chips and efficiency that the company claims is capable of up to 12.5 hours of runtime for the 14-inch model, while the 16-inch model can last for 10.5 hours. It’ll also be among the laptops to come with a dedicated Copilot key, as part of Microsoft’s big AI push into its services and hardware. The webcams, as usual, come with a 1440p sensor coupled with AI-assisted noise reduction, background blur, eye contact, and auto-framing. Both will be powered by the latest Wi-Fi 7 connectivity standard.

As for the chassis, select Swift Go 14 variants now feature a new multi-control lighting touchpad – now 44% larger – that provides direct media controls, and the display is the same 500-nit OLED panels seen in the previous Swift Go models, meaning you get the 3200 x 2000 resolution (120Hz) on the 16-inch panel or 2880 x 1800 resolution (90Hz) on 14-inch panel. As for the internals, it’ll get up to 32GB of LPDDR5X memory, as well as up to 2TB of SSD through two M.2 slots.

Meanwhile, the Swift X 14 brings more power, now with Intel Core Ultra H-series chips and NVIDIA RTX 40 Series GPUs (with Studio drivers to boot), 32GB LPDDR5X RAM, and up to 1TB SSD. The chips will be cooled through a dedicated air inlet keyboard, dual D6 copper heatpipes, and a large fan.

Like the Swift Go, it’ll come with a dedicated Copilot key, though aside from that you’ll still be getting a potent creator-focused laptop. It comes with a Calman-verified 2.8K 120Hz OLED panel with Delta-E <2, 100% DCI-P3, and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification. I/O-wise, you get two USB-C ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, a microSD card reader, as well as Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth LE audio.

No local pricing has been announced so far, though Acer noted that these laptops will be launching in NA, EMEA, and China starting this February. For reference, the Swift Go 16’s pricing starts at $799.99, whereas the Swift Go 14 starts at $749.99. The Acer Swift X 14 meanwhile starts at $1,399.99.

Pokdepinion: Would be interesting to see what kind of features can be packed within the bounds of a touchpad.
