ASUS Malaysia has announced an update to its warranty service program, introducing 2-year Perfect Warranty with full coverage of accidental damage, and a new ASUS ProCare program offering additional service benefits for select premium laptop lineups.
Quite convenient timing for the laptop maker, as the consumer electronics market at large has suffered from massive DRAM pricing spikes, and it is of high importance for consumers to stretch the lifespan of their current hardware to avoid the need for purchasing a new unit until – ideally – when the pricing returns to normal, pre-AI-induced surge levels. The new benefits also makes current pricing a slightly easier pill to swallow amid worsening value for money.
ASUS Malaysia Strengthens Warranty Coverage For Laptops

Per ASUS, before the laptops are even sold, they undergo up to 34 durability tests make sure they can hold up against various wear and tear. These including drop tests from 1 meter height, an extreme temperature test between -33°C and 55°C, a water spill test to evaluate the keyboard’s ability to guide liquids away from sensitive components, a pressure test for evaluating chassis strength, and a vibration test assessing functionality under vibration frequencies of 5-500Hz (similar to bumps experienced during transit) across three axes.
ASUS Malaysia is adding a 2-year ASUS Perfect Warranty covering local accidental damage protection, alongside its existing 2-year International Warranty. The additional coverage applies to ASUS and ROG laptops launched after July 28, 2026, and is intended to cover repair costs resulting from drops, spills or electrical surges. The company notes that Perfect Warranty now covers all parts and labor costs, so you shouldn’t need to pay for anything within the 2-year period should things go south.
The company’s service network now includes more than 1,000 service points in Malaysia, with coverage extending across more than 90 countries and regions globally. Users can drop off devices at authorized ASUS Service Centers or Pos Malaysia branches for repair, or use the Pick-up and Return (PUR) Service, under which the laptop maker arranges courier collection and return of the device.

Besides those options, ASUS also introduced the all-new ProCare service exclusively applicable to new ProArt, Zenbook, Vivobook S and ROG laptops launched after July 28, 2026. ProCare includes an Unlimited 360 Cleaning & Maintenance service which involves a 10-step process covering aspects such as hardware inspection, general maintenance, system recovery (if applicable), performance and stability checks, and battery health checks. Owners of laptop with ProCare coverage are also eligible for access to a dedicated priority lane at authorized ASUS Service Centers to speed things up as well.
Pokdepinion: Good to see efforts made to mitigate the sticker shock, although it’s probably not that significant in the grand scheme of things.
