ASUS Malaysia has announced the local availability of the Zenbook A14 (UX3407), claimed as the lightest 14-inch Copilot+ PC and features an all-Ceraluminum chassis for the first time in the brand’s lineup. Two variants are unveiled today: the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite version that comes just below 1kg mark, plus an even lighter version that features the vanilla Snapdragon X chip.
ASUS Zenbook A14 Launched

The Snapdragon X Elite version of the Zenbook A14 will feature the X1E-78-100 specifically with 12 cores and 3.4GHz boost clock, while the Snapdragon X version packs the X1-26-100 with 8 cores and 2.97GHz boost clock. Regardless of processor choice, the laptop will pack 32GB of LPDDR5X-8448 RAM, with 1TB SSD for storage; dual USB4 ports onboard.
Other specs differ: the display uses FHD+ IPS panel for the Snapdragon X version, while the Snapdragon X Elite version packs the OLED panel with the same resolution as the former. Wi-Fi 6E is onboard the former, while Wi-Fi 7 is default for the latter; while battery capacity is 48Wh and 70Wh respectively – hence the reason the Snapdragon X version is able to shave some weight off the X Elite model (899g vs 980g).

For pricing, the ASUS Zenbook A14 (UX3407) with the Snapdragon X is priced at RM4,999, while the model with the Snapdragon X Elite Processor is available for RM5,999. As part of an early bird promotion, customers who purchase the Zenbook A14 from 7 March to 31 March 2025 at selected stores will receive an ASUS ZenScreen MB166B worth RM700, while stocks last.
Pokdepinion: That’s incredibly light – I was hoping the battery could be larger for the cheaper variant though.
