The two new rugged laptops are MIL-STD-810H certified and rated for operating temperatures between -20°F (-29°C) and 145°F (63°C), covering a wide range of climate conditions field workers may encounter. Both models support Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors, Wi-Fi 7, optional private 5G, and GPS connectivity, along with hot-swappable batteries for uninterrupted use during long shifts.
Displays on both models support gloved and wet multi-touch input, catering to workers using personal protective equipment in the field. An optional 5MP RGB+IR camera is available on both laptops for capturing images and video across varied conditions. The Rugged Control Center software provides centralized access to GPS module configuration, custom hardware shortcuts and device settings.

The Dell Pro Rugged 13 Extreme is the more hardened of the two, earning an IP66 rating for full protection against dust and water ingress, with six-foot (approximately 1.8m) drop protection. The 13.3-inch FHD display reaches 1,400 nits of brightness for readability in direct sunlight, and it supports up to 64GB of LPDDR5X memory, plus Intel Arc integrated graphics for visual and data-heavy workloads. Removable SSD and self-encrypting drive options are available for organizations with strict compliance requirements.

The Dell Pro Rugged 14 is a semi-rugged 14-inch model rated at IP53 for protection against dust, dirt and water exposure, with three-foot (close to 1m) drop protection. It weighs approximately 2.13 kg and is equipped with a discrete NVIDIA RTX PRO 500 Blackwell Generation Laptop GPU for demanding visualization, data analysis and AI workloads. Memory goes up to 64GB via the LPCAMM2 form factor, which simplifies upgrades for IT teams in the field.
The 14-inch display uses a 16:10 FHD panel with up to 1,100 nits of brightness and a wider aspect ratio suited to reviewing documents, dashboards and field applications. The Pro Rugged 14 also features a redesigned vehicle docking system with quad passthrough, improved compatibility with third-party docking solutions, and a streamlined dock and undock mechanism for workers operating primarily from vehicles.
Both Dell Pro Rugged laptops include TPM 2.0, contacted and contactless smart card readers, fingerprint readers and IR cameras for Windows Hello facial recognition. Dell SafeID with ControlVault and BIOS-level defenses are built in, with the addition of quantum-resistant security protections on the new models. For IT teams managing large device fleets, the laptops support cloud-based deployment, management and security tools. Dell ProSupport and predictive maintenance tools are available to help reduce downtime across distributed field operations.
The Dell Pro Rugged 13 Extreme and Dell Pro Rugged 14 are available now in Malaysia, starting from RM18,916.24 and RM16,652.48 respectively.
