ASUS Vivobook S 14/16 Now Available With Ryzen AI 9 365 Processor

After the initial wave of new laptops featuring AMD’s newest Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 (codename Strix Point) processors, ASUS Malaysia is introducing its latest processor option for the Vivobook S 14/16 laptops (model number M5406W/M5606W).

The AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 is the second chip to launch under the Ryzen AI 300 series, and also functions as the second-best chip of the lineup thus far. It packs 10 cores – 4 of which are full-size Zen 5 cores, while the other 6 are the smaller Zen 5c cores. These chip will supersede the Ryzen 7 8845HS, which is still available in the Vivobook S lineup in Malaysia, though it’s cheaper than the new Strix Point variants.

To recap, the new Vivobook series has a new look introduced since the original Intel Meteor Lake variant, and the chassis now already features chips from all three major CPU vendors (Intel, AMD, and Qualcomm). For the Ryzen AI models, these variants will get 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM, though other specs – including 512GB SSD, 3.2K OLED display, and Wi-Fi 6E support. As part of the Copilot+ PC lineup, these laptops will receive specific AI-enhanced feature via a free Windows 11 update later this year.

For pricing, the updated Vivobook S 14 and S 16 will be priced from RM5,299 and RM5,499 respectively. Currently, these laptops will be offered with a single color option – Cool Silver, with the Neutral Black option available “by the end of October 2024”.
