HMD Global is preparing to launch the Nokia 235 4G in Malaysia, as the phone has quietly appeared on Nokia’s official Shopee store. Announced in April alongside the 215 4G and 225 4G, the Nokia 235 4G stands out as the most advanced model of the trio.
Nokia 235 4G

The Nokia 235 4G is similar to the 215 4G but comes with an upgraded 2MP camera and flash, allowing users to capture photos while enjoying a simplified, smartphone-free experience. It boasts a 2.8-inch IPS LCD display with a QVGA resolution and is available in three colors: black, blue, and purple.
Under the hood, the Nokia 235 4G is powered by a Unisoc T107 chipset, paired with 64MB of RAM and 128MB of internal storage. It also features a microSD card slot that supports storage expansion up to 32GB. Running on the S30+ operating system, the phone includes several cloud apps such as news, weather, and YouTube shorts, along with classic games like Snake.
Connectivity options on the Nokia 235 4G include 4G, FM radio, Bluetooth 5.0, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The device is equipped with a 1,450mAh removable battery, charged via a USB-C port. However, HMD does not currently offer additional batteries for sale separately.
Pricing and Availability

The Nokia 235 4G is listed on Nokia’s official Shopee store for RM350.90. Despite being listed, it is not yet available for purchase as the stock is currently unavailable so we’ll have to wait and see for an announcement for now.
Pokdepinion: While I don’t see myself ever moving back to a mobile phone like this, I do have a soft spot for it. It reminds of the good ol’ days where everything is much simpler…and battery life was significantly longer.
