HONOR is now introducing Circle to Search with Google on its flagship Magic V3 and HONOR 200 Series smartphones – this feature allows users to select text, images, or videos by simply circling, highlighting, or tapping on their screen to retrieve more information.

In lieu of the smartphone maker’s partnership with Google on co-developing this feature, HONOR CEO George Zhao said: “Thanks to our close industry collaboration with Google and by introducing this feature to not one, but two of our popular smartphone lines, it’s now possible to unlock a world of information at your fingertips, offering a whole new level of convenience in people’s daily lives.”
HONOR says it has long viewed AI as “strategic priority,” with continuous R&D and partnerships with industry leaders that resulted in the development of a multi-layered AI system, combining on-device and cloud AI capabilities to ensure data security and privacy. Earlier in 2024, the company unveiled its Four-layer AI Architecture, promoting responsible AI deployment across the industry.
The Magic V3, introduced at IFA 2024, incorporates additional AI tools such as AI Eraser and Face to Face Translation, as well as HONOR’s AI Defocus Eye Protection and Deepfake Detection technologies. These features aim to address health and safety concerns while enhancing productivity for users. Powered by MagicOS 8.0.1 (based on Android 14), these devices integrate features like Magic Portal and Magic Capsule for a better continuity experience.
