iQOO today unveiled the iQOO 13, its latest flagship smartphone powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset with newly-upgraded Oryon cores derived from the chipmaker’s Snapdragon X series laptop chips.
iQOO 13 Specs
Besides the Snapdragon, the device is also equipped with iQOO’s proprietary Supercomputing Chip Q2 co-processor that enable resolution upscaling and frame rate interpolation of up to 2K+ (3168 x 1440) 144 FPS, effectively maxing out the 6.82-inch LTPO display’s native specs (peak brightness is rated at 4,500 nits). You also get a 6,150 mAh battery and 120W FlashCharge for quick recharging, supported by a 7,000 mm² vapor chamber to keep thermals in check.
In the photography department, the iQOO got some of the camera know-hows from its sister brand vivo – specifically, the iQOO 13 uses the same cameras as vivo’s flagships, though the brand didn’t specify which one. What we know is the camera array supports focal lengths ranging from 0.6x to 30x zoom, with VCS sensor and NICE 2.0 algorithms working in tandem with the lenses.
As part of the continued partnership with BMW M Motorsport, the iQOO 13 is available in Legend (white) and Alpha (black) editions, each with different racetrack-inspired design features – though the Alpha variant is slightly thinner at 7.99mm thick, while the Legend is 8.1mm thick. Both integrates the new “Monster Halo” light on the camera bump which lights up during gaming or music sessions, as well as acting as a notification light or system indicators (i.e. charging status).
The iQOO 13 is now available for pre-order in Malaysia: the 16GB+512GB variant is priced at RM3,699, while the online-exclusive 12GB+256GB variant costs RM3,499. Pre-orders placed by 6 December 2024 include complimentary gifts worth up to RM1,410, such as iQOO TWS 1e earbuds, screen crack protection, and 2-year extended warranty.
