OnePlus 11 Concept Previews A Nothing-Inspired Light Show On The Back
Taking a page out of its co-founder’s playbook?

OnePlus has dropped a teaser on its latest concept phone, aptly named OnePlus 11 Concept, with a rather intriguing photo of the back of a phone with blue illuminated lines running through it. Looks familiar? Because Nothing – the brand of which its co-founder Carl Pei set up back in 2020, has a phone that does exactly this, the Nothing Phone (1).
Still, OnePlus has dropped the teaser and here’s how they describe this new feature:
“The images show the engineering breakthroughs of the OnePlus 11 Concept by highlighting the icy blue pipelines which run through the entire back of the phone, almost like OnePlus 11 Concept has its own series of blood vessels. OnePlus 11 Concept’s pipelines are housed inside a bold and futuristic unibody glass design inspired by the calm stillness and vast power of a glacial lake.”
Marketing speak aside, there’s no word on what exactly this array of blue pipes exactly do. Just for reference – Nothing Phone (1) uses the rear panel which houses a number of LED light strips that can be lit in certain patterns to convey information such as battery status, notification, among other things. Given that MWC (Mobile World Congress) is very near now, expect this phone to show up in the floors over at Barcelona pretty soon.
