OPPO has launched the A7 Pro series smartphones in Malaysia, featuring both the OPPO A7 Pro and the OPPO A7 Pro Max, both featuring some “familiar” looks – add these into the long list of Chinese smartphone makers taking a page out of Apple’s naming and design conventions.
OPPO A7 Pro Series
Despite being in the same model family, both models do feature a great amount of differences. Starting with the camera: the OPPO A7 Pro Max gets 50MP sensors in both sides of the smartphone, with the front-facing one featuring an ultrawide lens with 100° FOV; the software automatically adjusts between 1x and 0.6x zoom as more people enter the shot. The rear camera bump, meanwhile, gets a color spectrum sensor to help calibrate skin tones and various environmental colors to better match what humans perceive. As for the A7 Pro, it has a 50MP sensor at the rear, while the front is a more conventional 8MP sensor that features standard field-of-view.
Joining the ultra-large battery trend, the OPPO A7 Pro Max is equipped with a 10,000mAh battery as well; OPPO rates it for up to 30.9 hours of Google Maps navigation, 14.7 hours of WhatsApp video calls, and 15 hours of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang on a single charge. It supports 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging, reaching full capacity in 91 minutes, with five minutes of charging delivering 11% power. The A7 Pro, meanwhile, carries an 8,000mAh battery with 45W SUPERVOOC fast charging, reaching a full charge in 101 minutes. Both models support reverse wired charging for topping up accessories.
From 11 to 18 September 2026, customers purchasing through the OPPO Online Store can secure either model for RM50 via a “Deal Pack” worth RM629. The company has yet to reveal the actual retail prices of both models, though you’ll be getting extra gifts based on which option you choose. There’s also launch rebates and PWP options, which you can see for yourself on the smartphone maker’s website.
