The chipset is accompanied by 6GB of LPDDR5 memory with a RAM Plus option that provides additional memory (zRAM) from existing storage space when needed; if storage is a priority, it can be switched off to preserve space for photos and videos. For photography, the phone has a 50MP autofocus main camera, a 2MP depth camera, and an 8MP front camera.
The Galaxy A08 is rated IP64 for dust and water-splash resistance, and Samsung Knox Vault provides hardware-based protection for sensitive data. Samsung also commits to up to six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates.
While being a ultra-budget phone, the Galaxy A08 supports Google’s AI features, such as Circle to Search and Find the Look functions; the phone also supports multiple AI agents, with users able to call up Gemini or Perplexity through voice commands or a long press to open and operate supported Galaxy native apps, Google apps, and selected third-party applications.
The Samsung Galaxy A08 is priced at RM899 in Malaysia and comes in Green, Dark Blue, and Silver.
