Xiaomi To Introduce 30W Wireless Charging For Mi 9 Pro 5G

It seems that Xiaomi will be introducing their Mi Charge Turbo technology that comes with 30W and lets you charge wirelessly for their upcoming smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G.

The Mi Charge Turbo comes with a 5-layer nanocrystal receiver coil, which offers a conversion efficiency of 98%. They have said that the with it, it will be able to charge a 4000mAh battery (from 0%) to 50% in just 25 minutes. On the other hand, a full charge will take roughly 69 minutes.

The Mi 9 Pro 5G is said to be unveiled later in this month though there’s no confirmation on an exact date. Whether or not the 30W Mi Charge Turbo is to be included in the packaging of the device is also unknown. There is a chance that they will sell it separately, similarly to the previous Mi 9’s wireless charger.

Xiaomi has revealed that they are developing an even faster wireless charging standard at 40W and states that it is currently in the testing phase.

Pokdepinion: Personally I still prefer to charge my device with the old and traditional way.. but at 30W, that’s not half bad!
