HUAWEI has introduced the new MatePad 11.5”S PaperMatte Edition tablet for the Malaysian market. This device features the innovative PaperMatte Display, designed to reduce glare and enhance the user experience. It is expected to bring significant advancements to the creative industry through its integration with the Go Paint app and the new Huawei M-Pencil (3rd Gen) Nearlink.
HUAWEI MatePad 11.5”S PaperMatte Edition
As its name suggests, the MatePad 11.5”S PaperMatte Edition comes with an 11.5-inch 2.8K LCD display, offering a 144Hz refresh rate. The tablet is powered by the Kirin 9000WL chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It runs on HarmonyOS 4.2.
The tablet features a 13MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and an 8MP front camera with an f/2.0 aperture for selfies. It is equipped with an 8,800mAh battery that supports wired charging via a USB-C port.
Other notable features include four speakers with Huawei Histen 9.0 technology, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax, and Bluetooth 5.2.
HUAWEI MatePad SE 11
In addition to the MatePad 11.5”S PaperMatte Edition, HUAWEI has also launched the MatePad SE 11 in Malaysia. This tablet features an 11-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1920 × 1200 pixels. It comes with 8GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, though details about the processor have not been disclosed.
The MatePad SE 11 is equipped with an 8MP main camera and a 5MP front camera. It houses a 7,700mAh battery that supports charging via a USB-C port and a 22.5W charger. Additionally, it features four speakers with Huawei Histen 9.0 technology and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity.
Pricing and Availability
The HUAWEI MatePad 11.5”S PaperMatte Edition is available in Malaysia for RM2,499. The HUAWEI MatePad SE 11 is priced at RM999 and will be available starting June 22, 2024.
Pokdepinion: Looks like a very promising tablet, though I’m not sure how well it will do as a laptop replacement. It’s at least more viable now than it was before based on what I saw.
