Chinese home electronics giant Hisense highlighted its large-screen display innovations at IFA 2024 – under the theme “The Scenario-driven Future of Tech,” the company presented its latest gaming technologies and partnerships, including collaborations with the game Black Myth: Wukong and Xbox-certified products.
Hisense @ IFA 2024
Black Myth: Wukong is perhaps the most hyped game in 2024 thus far, garnering significant attention for its storyline, gameplay, and cinematics – as the game’s official partner, Hisense presented its 100-inch TVs (U7 and E7 PRO) with a picture mode specifically designed for the game, which aims to deliver precise color calibration and improved HDR performance.
In addition to its large-screen TVs, Hisense also highlighted its collaboration with Xbox. The Hisense Laser Cinema PX3-PRO, with configurable screen sizes from 80-150 inches, is the first “Designed for Xbox” Ultra Short Throw projector; it also supports a high refresh rate of up to 240Hz (via pixel shifting, a common technique in projectors). The projector also includes MEMC and Auto-Low Latency Mode (ALLM) commonly found in modern TVs.
Also introduced is the Hisense C2 Ultra, which delivers projection sizes from 65 to 300 inches. Like the PX3-PRO, it’s also Xbox certified, and features ALLM, MEMC, and up to 240Hz refresh rate. The projector’s color performance includes 110% BT.2020 color gamut, along with IMAX Enhanced and Dolby Vision certifications.
Additionally, Hisense expanded its home entertainment offerings with the ULED X and Canvas TV series. The ULED X Mini LED 110-inch UX features over 40,000 local dimming zones and a peak brightness of 10,000 nits, powered by Hi-View Engine X for enhanced real-time processing; meanwhile, the Canvas TV 65-inch S7 combines art and technology with its Art Mode, which transforms the TV into a personal art gallery.
Pokdepinion: 40,000 dimming zones and 10,000 nits – that’s crazy numbers.
