LG Malaysia Contributes To Eye Health

The initiative, supported by Teach for Malaysia and Lions Club of Kuala Lumpur, aims to improve vision health for children in underserved communities, addressing the lack of access to eye examinations and affordable eyewear. Students from PPR Lembah Subang 1, SJKC Kwong Hon, SJKC St. Teresa, and SK Segambut, are provided with comprehensive eye screenings; Following the screenings, LG Malaysia contributed RM20,000 worth of eyewear to the students.

MOG Eyewear, known for its expertise in eye care, conducted 6-in-1 eye examinations to assess and identify vision issues in the students. LG Malaysia also showcased its Eyesafe-certified LG OLED TVs, which emit lower levels of blue light to reduce eye strain, aligning with their mission to promote vision health – the company’s local managing director, Justin Choi, said the partnership “amplifies our mission that we are demonstrating true progress comes from combining technology with compassion.”

“At MOG, we believe that eye health must start from a young age, as it plays a crucial role in a child’s overall well-being and future success. Through this initiative, we are addressing immediate vision care needs and  investing in the long-term health of these children – making a meaningful difference in their lives and paving for a bright future,” said Datin Bernice Low, Chief Executive Officer of MOG Eyewear.
